The Estwing E6-48E engineering hammer is made for heavier rock hammer use for tough, hard rock extraction work. This hammer is similar to the Estwing Long Handled Crack Hammer (B3-4LBL) except the head is narrower and longer than the head on the crack hammer. The smaller face and longer head allows one to reach into places a hand sledge or drilling hammer would not. Given the size of this hammer, you can break or split rock with less force. It is fairly heavy compared to the other hammers, but it is robust and will surely last a very long time.
